Recently, I have been considering writing another blog with a narrower focus, as this one is usually just whatever I enjoy rambling about early in the morning. One of the more interesting ideas I had was to blog a journey of Link through Ocarina of Time.
For those who are unfamiliar, Zelda: Ocarina of Time was probably the best and most elaborate game for the Nintendo 64. It is a single player, free-roaming RPG, where the player interacts with the world through the main character, Link. He is the hero of Hyrule, which is the area of the world where he lives. It is a magical place, with frightening monsters, helpful creatures, and lengthy missions. In a word, very much like our own world. I would use the blog to relate the game to our world, to demonstrate that each of us is the hero in our world. We must travel, meet characters, and seek out our destiny, as Link does. I plan to start this adventure soon, and I think there is a lot that can be learned from it.
